Maximize Ad Network Reach & Publisher Revenue With Mobile Web and Tablet Offering from Mobclix

We are happy to announce the addition of Mobile Web and tablet support to the Mobclix exchange! This newly added platform enables us to maximize publisher revenue on mobile web by optimizing across 35 + ad networks. We allow advertisers to reach the right audiences regardless of platform by leveraging the industry’s only real-time bidding enabled supply side platform. As the proliferation of devices and operating systems take the developer community by storm, publishers are forced to find the easiest way to optimize their content for mobile — naturally leading to an evolution of mobile web apps.

“Initially our focus as a company was to fulfill the unmet need of app monetization; as the industry progresses, we now see demand from both, developers and advertisers for mobile web apps,” said Krishna Subramanian, Mobclix co-founder. “We’re specifically seeing growing interest from gaming publishers who are looking to bridge mobile app usage and increased interest in mobile web so we’re eager to see what will ultimately take over in the long run.”

An October 2010 eMarketer survey uncovered that games, music and social media were the only categories in which users would rather use a downloaded app than browse the mobile web. Though that may be the case with certain entertainment categories, the majority of survey respondents reported a preference for mobile browsers to access virtually all mobile content. Regardless, the ability to develop more seamlessly across various platforms is becoming a crucial part of the mobile ecosystem. One industry in particular, gaming, seems to be paving the way with companies like ngmoco which have created cross-platform frameworks such as ngCore enabling publishers to create web-based games indistinguishable from native apps.
