Facepad launched on December 29th, 2010 and was quickly thought of as one of the best iPad apps to start off 2011. Facepad not only gives you an awesome way to view Facebook but they take it to the next level by allowing the user to engage with the content on another level through stackable, scrollable, multiple page functionality. Their unique and engaging user experience coupled with their dedication to release updates as often as possible has led to their success. Within 12 hrs of the app being launched, it served over 1 million impressions and within 2 days, it became the #1 free app in the Social Networking category. 1) What inspired you to build the app?
The need for a better Facebook application, optimized for the iPad.
2) Why does the ad revenue model make sense for you?
A combination of Paid and Free with ads makes sense – maximize revenue from users willing to pay and optimize advertising for users willing to view ads.

4) What tips do you have for other developers
Release updates as often as possible (we update bi-weekly). Listen to your users and reach out through social media to gain insight into what they love and what needs to be improved. With each update release, try to include a combination of stability improvements as well as feature requests from users. Releasing updates not only improves your app but it reassures your users that you’re listening and working on their requests.
