GSMA has just announced the 2012 Nominees for their 17th Annual Global Mobile Awards, stating that this year marked a record number of entries. With that said, we are proud to confirm that Velti’s 5ML™ was selected as a finalist for the “Innovation in Mobile Advertising” category!
Showcasing the latest innovation that drives new techniques, mobile ad spend, a better understanding of the medium or more, no matter the way, shape or form, this category highlights products that prove how mobile advertising “need not be intrusive…[and] empower greater creativity, delivery and measurement of compelling campaigns.”
With HTML5 increasing in popularity, there is a high demand for equally high quality applications across various platforms (smartphones, tablets, TV, traditional web, etc.). 5ml empowers designers and developers by shadowing the complexity of HTML5, allowing them to solely focus on the creatives.
Since its launch in August 2011, Velti’s 5ml has over 800 users globally, and has already received an award from Mobile Marketing Association’s (MMA) multi-vendor competition in June 2011. 5ml is enabling a wave of innovative designers who might not have the software coding skills to create mobile apps, sites and ads, but use the best features of mobile in unique ways, ultimately providing a dynamic experience for consumers.
