June 9, 2009 – Mobclix and Gap Inc. announced the launch of a new contest for developers that will give them the amazing opportunity to design the next big iPhone app for Gap. The idea behind the contest is simple – create an app that exemplifies Gap’s timeless yet casual American style. The app is intended for Gap’s target customers – creative, stylish individuals in their 20s and 30s who breathe popular culture.
Here’s the lowdown on how the contest works:
Each week, a favorite app will be chosen from new submissions and will be featured on the Mobclix website. The community votes on the People’s Choice winning app and a panel of expert judges will assist Gap and Mobclix choose the Grand Prize winner. Apps will be judged on originality, innovation, accessibility and consumer appeal. The contest ends on September 1, 2009.
