Just as marketers in India got the hang of getting the offline and online media mix right, the digital marketing space shifted towards more complicated formats: social media marketing, video advertising and mobile marketing. Now it’s not a choice of choosing offline media or online media, but rather a choice of which platform mix allows for better customer acquisition. And luckily, the Internet And Mobile Association of India’s (IAMAI) 8th Marketing Conclave held last Friday aimed to answer the ultimate question for marketers: What is the correct digital mix?


Velti was the proud title sponsor of the event and participated in the day’s activities to help Indian digital marketers understand the shift towards these new digital platforms and pick the right solution for their companies. Typically, the IAMAI only sees about 250-300 delegates attend the conference each year, but the 8th Marketing Conclave saw an attendance of 450 delegates! Jay Sheth, SVP of Business Development, gave a power presentation on “Experience Mobile – Acquire, Engage, Grow and Service the Consumer With Mobile Solutions”.


We also spoke on a panel discussion where Paul Griswold, Director of Product Management, made some insightful points on mobile advertising.


Paul and Randhir Marwa, Director of Business Solutions at Velti Mumbai, conducted a Velti workshop–to a packed house!


And to further engage the audience members and create more excitement around Velti, we announced a mobile survey where participants had to answer three simple questions. Created on our USSD platform, we had had 110 participants–and one lucky one got to take home an iPhone 4S!


Overall, the attendees of the IAMAI’s 8th Marketing Conclave walked away with new insights into digital and mobile marketing, now ready to take on the marketing challenges of their clients.
