Samsung’s ‘Free The TV’ Challenge

It’s official: app fever has definitely taken over.  Apple’s iPhone continues to expand its bounds, reaching 220,000 total apps on the app store.  Android’s App Market is growing at tremendous rates.  Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Phone and Palm all have app stores of their own.  But it’s Samsung that is really pushing the envelope.  The Korean electronics giant not only has a mobile app store, but is expanding this reach onto their TV and Blu Ray devices.

And what better way to promote this than by hosting an app contest?  Samsung is doing just that so here’s your chance developers!  Some key highlights of the contest:

*  $500,000 in total prizes

*  Exposure to key venture capital partners
