Our group of trained monkeys works tirelessly to enhance 5ml with new features and optimizations. Starting this week, we’d like to let you have a sneak peak into the new enhancements and features that will hit 5ml’s next release version, as they are being developed.
One of the fanciest widgets, yet with limited usability, on 5ml is the “Particles” one. So far this widget had allowed you to select a preset particle effect from a predefined array of images and fiddle with its options (such as particle density, speed, easing as well as rotation of the particle-images along the x, y and z axis in 3d). With effects such as rain, snow, falling leaves, confetti, shooting stars etc, the author with a bit of imagination can create impressive looking pages. But shooting stars can only go so far…
Smoke puffs and flame particles, coupled with a 180° angle rotation creates a quick and dirty fire-effect.
In the upcoming release version, you will be able to select your very own graphics to import into the particle widget, which -coupled with the global rotation feature, released into the 1.4 version- can lead into some very interesting particle effects, only limited by your creativity and imagination.
Onto more new features, coming soon™
