Top Questions Developers Would Ask the Old Spice Man

Sumit Business Dev | Mobclix
July 21, 2010

You’ve seen him on TV, online, and in your dreams (if you’re into that ruggedly handsome sort of thing…uh…what were we talking about) – the Old Spice Guy come viral hygiene phenom is threatening to unseat the Dos Equis guy as the most interesting man in our worlds. But now that the commercials have officially come to an end, we wanted to personally extend an invitation to Mr. Old Spice to keep the party going and become the most interesting man in mobile by joining Mobclix.

Below, we take a look at some of the questions he might answer on a daily basis. Feel free to post any of your burning body wash/app monetization related questions in the comments and our resident Old Spice stand-ins will take a crack at answering them.

The best questions may even win awesome prizes like Apple Giftcards, Mobclix shwag, or Old Spice paraphenalia. Are you still reading? Real men would be writing by now…

Q: Old Spice has made me a hit with the ladies, but how can that help me conquer the app store?

A: I don’t have a phone because I can telepathically communicate with supermodels and small woodland creatures, a side effect of an extreme Old Spice lifestyle.

If I did have a need for a phone and downloaded so called “apps,” I’d look into strangling the user’s attention through sexiness and rugged deliciousness, that added-in with a cross promotion strategy would be a sure fire way to conquer. Wonder who can help you with such a strategy? Integrate Mobclix. In my world, the only room for powder puffs is on Victorian bed canopies and Easter confections, so developers – stop being such powder puffs and join Mobclix today…

25+ ad networks, the most advanced mobile targeting platform and consistently higher ROIs on advertising means Mobclix is your one stop shop for monetization, analytics, and advertising. I am advertising so I think I would know – join me atop the zenith of advertising, Mobclix will show you how.

Q: Is incorporating ads into my app really worth it?

A: Were you not reading my above answer – of course not because real men don’t read, they write. So write your precious little app with the 2 lines of code from the Zeusian library of awesome monetization known as Mobclix.

With integration so easy a squirrel could start generating revenue, you have no excuse not to incorporate ads. No hassle, loads of revenue, increased engagement – what, is this a trick question?

Not everyone is able to harness my hypnotic Old Spicyness so they need to engage users some other way – Mobclix ads equals that way + bag of chips and women find chips irresistible – see: Erik Estrada.

Q: Show me the iAds!

A: A Jerry Macguire reference, really? I don’t believe in the past because I live in the here and now, which is 5 minutes ahead of everyone else, and the future is iAds. But Mobclix had already integrated support for iAds even before Stevie J. mentioned the idea to me over a game of Segway chess.

With great CPMs comes even greater responsibility, so be sure to drop Mobclix into your apps if you want to get the maximum output from your iAds. iPhone, iPad, iAds – Mobclix has more i’s than Vanna White can shake a TV monitor at, and trust me – that woman has a lot of i’s.
